Meet Jonas who works as a Sustainability & Product Safety Lead
What could an ordinary day look like for you?
I am currently working as Sustainability and Product Quality Lead at Jollyroom. No two days are ever the same, as my work largely depends on what is most critical at any given moment. Staying up to date with global developments and ongoing changes in the world is therefore essential in order to understand what to prioritise.
Alongside continuous monitoring of news and regulatory updates to be able to quickly shift focus when needed, I work extensively with product safety and product quality.
On a more operational level, a typical day within these areas involves analysing data from customer complaints to identify products that require further attention in order to meet our quality standards. Through close collaboration with our suppliers and our in-house product development team, we work to improve products in a positive way to meet our expectations – and, most importantly, our customers’ expectations.
From a product safety perspective, my colleague and I act as a quality assurance function, supporting the verification of test reports as well as ensuring that all legal requirements are met so that our products are fully compliant.
What is the best part of working at Jollyroom?
Of course, we have a great team and a positive working atmosphere, but if I were to highlight something more specific, it would be the development opportunities. I am probably a good example of this myself, having worked in several different roles across the organisation.
I started in the Warehouse and later moved on to the Returns Department, the Complaints Department and Customer Service as a second-line agent. Over time, I have also worked as a Team Leader, Quality Agent, Quality and Product Safety Specialist, and I am now working as Sustainability & Product Quality Lead.
I have always tried to move forward and actively seek out new opportunities. Jollyroom has supported me throughout this journey by opening doors and allowing me to explore different paths. Sometimes the path I chose was the right one, and sometimes it wasn’t. Even when a role did not feel like the right fit, Jollyroom supported me in finding new opportunities – which has led me to where I am today.

What personal qualities do you think are important to enjoy working at Jollyroom?

How do you spend your free time?
In my free time, I really value quality time with my partner. We enjoy binge-watching TV series together, having long conversations with a nice glass of wine, or playing games together. I also spend a lot of time with friends and family, which is very important to me. In addition, I enjoy playing computer games and I’m a big sports fan. I mainly follow ice hockey, but I also enjoy watching football and Formula 1.
How do you make life easier for families with children in your role?
Through my many years of experience within the company, across several different departments, I aim to share knowledge and relevant expertise with my colleagues through education and collaboration. I contribute to the development of procedures and processes within our department, helping to establish clearer and more effective routines within my area of work. These improvements ultimately create added value for our customers.
My goal is for our customers to experience products that feel both safe to use and reassuring in terms of quality. In addition, I support the company in taking greater responsibility for our environmental impact, encouraging a more conscious approach to how our actions affect our surroundings and, ultimately, everyone on this planet.
